Loudoun County Government is Hiring a Prevention Specialist Near Leesburg, VA
- Provide summer programming to include community service activities and evidence-based substance abuse and violence prevention programs
- Apply strong leadership skills and experience in working with high-risk youth
- Co-lead groups and activities demonstrating the ability to function effectively in an interagency and collaborative capacity
- Organize, support, and lead activities held within a recreational setting
- Drive a County owned vehicle to pick up and drop off summer youth participants
Bachelor's degree in related field; one (1) year of professional work experience working with high- risk youth or a mental health and/or substance use disorder and/or prevention services; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) and multilingual applicants are encouraged to apply
- Work schedule is 37.5 hours per week
- Must be fitted for N-95 (or similar) mask to safely provide on-site services as needed
